MIRACLES IN 2025
Jesus Christ - God
John 17:1-3
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
This is the portion known as the High Priestly prayer of Jesus. The Last Supper was over; Jesus had announced His coming death and departure. He gave the parable of the vine and told of the coming of the Holy Spirit to indwell the believers. Now they are on their way to the Mount of Olives where Jesus will be betrayed. He stops and begins to pray to the Father this great prayer.
This prayer shows Jesus as God’s own Son, getting ready to give His life as the perfect atonement for the sins of all men.
Here we see Jesus asking the Father that He might bring glory to Him. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. Jesus knew that this would be a night that would stand out in all of human history. It was the night when He would be taken and sacrificed as that perfect sacrifice which was predicted from the beginning in the book of Genesis. The prophesy of His sacirfice was repeated many times over in the Law and Prophets. This was the focus of all time, as Jesus would become the substitute for all men’s sins. As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Truly, this was the fulfillment of the verse in 2 Peter 3:9 which says that God is not willing that any should perish, but all might be saved. Jesus was that willing sacrifice! He is God, but He was willing to become the suffering Savior.
We need to stop and thank Him again for our salvation. Jesus, the Son of God, loved us so much that He was willing to die for us. How can we not be grateful for all He has done?

Pray for the peace of Israel and also for our country as well.
Please pray for Linda Franks who needs to have surgery soon.
Please pray for Vicki Dalton. She went in for a biopsy for a nodule on her tonsils and will not know the final results until the 14th. However, they do not think there is any cancer. She thanks everyone for their prayers.
Pray for Shirley Deans and family. Her nephew, Justin Jones, a Pitt County sheriff’s department lieutenant, died suddenly Saturday night.
Pray also for Jackson Broome, the grandson of the Celebrate Recovery leaders in Greenville. He has HLH, a rare life-threatening syndrome that occurs when the immune system does not function correctly. He is just 8 years old and needs our prayers. Pray for God’s healing miracle!
Pray for Nadia’s mother, Anita Swain, who just found out she has lung cancer. The recent PET scan shows the nodules in her lungs haven’t increased in size or number. They have also found some cysts that they are monitoring. Pray for her healing!
Please continue to pray for Phil Corey. Phil is still having trouble with his blood pressure when having dialysis.
Please pray for Dr. Joe Jordan. He’s still having a lot of pain in his back and hip. The doctor is postponing hip replacement for now.
